A heartfelt thank you to Simeon and Mara, who started their honeymoon in Nepal and gave us tremendous support! On Saturday, October 19, they flew to Kathmandu and picked up valuable medical supplies for the Siddhi Memorial Hospital, which we were able to give them. Simeon and Mara were delighted to be given an exclusive tour of the hospital as a small token of their appreciation for their efforts. A huge thank you for your help! You have made an important contribution to local healthcare!

At the congress of the Swiss Society for Intensive Care Medicine (SGI), we had the pleasure of presenting our experience report poster. We also distributed initial flyers and established valuable contacts with supporters of MED for KIDS Nepal. We look forward to the next steps.

From August 21 to 30, 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Nipun, an experienced physician, and Rasila, the Head of Nursing at Siddhi Memorial Hospital, to Switzerland. During their stay, they gained insights into the daily work of the Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital in St. Gallen, the Chur Cantonal Hospital, and the Neonatology Department of St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital. In various departments, they were able to observe the specialists at work, engage in in-depth discussions on specialized topics, and experience day-to-day hospital life in Switzerland firsthand. In addition to the professional exchange, we also had the opportunity to show them some beautiful places in Eastern Switzerland, which made their visit here a thoroughly enriching experience.

On July 31, 2024, Siddhi Memorial Hospital was hit by heavy rains. The entire area was flooded, and the hospital's outpatient services had to be temporarily suspended. Many pieces of equipment were damaged, and the laundry service was also out of service for an extended period. There is no insurance for such events in Nepal.
